EVENTIDE

EVENTIDE - The Story
Eventide is that beautiful brief moment in between sunrise and the morning, and sunset and the evening. Its quite a magical time where everything is serene, a transitional period full of quiet grace and spiritual color. During this time along the shoreline in a tropical setting to me is beyond words. I tried to capture that brief moment in this song. This Song was used in a Bio TV Documentary on Ocean Explorer and Enviromentalist Jacques Cousteau

EVENTIDE
Words & Music By Nick Granato

 - (V1) Another day ends in paradise,
The sea reflects the colored sky,
A sailboat skids across the waves,
heading for home

The painted clouds, just natures work of art,
A subtle hint of twinkling evening stars,
A gentle breeze carries me away,
Just as far as I can go

(Chorus) The seagulls rest,
the moon breaks through,
The dark of night consumes the view,
And the waves caress sand along the beach,
Twilight lingers on the palms,
Silence overcomes the calm,
The horizon's slowly fading out of sight,
As another day ends in paradise

(V2) Fishing boats seek out the closest port, Lovers holding hands along the shore,
Tourists slowing down, enjoy the view,
Time is all but standing still,
At least long enough to get our fill,
As the sun slips slowly out of sight,
As the day comes to an end in paradise

(Chorus)
(Tag) The moon falls victim to the sun,
The evening mist is rising up,
The sea reflects a colored sky,
As another day begins. In paradise,
As another day begins.. In paradise

NEWS UPDATES

So much has gone on since my last installment - I'm not sure where to start. Ok well for those of you that don't know I've lost 96lbs and I'm back to the size I was when I recorded my CD "Sun Dance". It was on purpose and really had nothing to do with my neuro-muscular condition. Actually I did so I could take some stress off my body.  In the meantime I ended up having major surgery on a Ventral Hernia that became evident as i was losing weight (great eh?)  Anyway I ended up spending 3 days in the hospital, it was real serious (so they said) but I'm better now that all that's over!  lolol

Let's see, my son Patrick is still deployed in Afghanistan, we don't hear form him very often but do treasure when we do, he is well. We don't expect him stateside again until sometime in the spring. My daughter Becky is doing well as is my Grand-daughter Lily, she's growing in light-speed!  She's so much fun to be around these days, a ball of energy!

I inherited a Dwarf Hamster (or Hamper as Lily calls him) his name is Ferbie (don't ask) he's become part of the family and has assimilated rather quickly. Very cute with the same attitude as Maxx my dog!

So my Web Design business has literally taken off  and I'm very busy. I thatnk God and give cedit where credit is due. I am finishing up some work on Andy Northrup's website www.andynorthrup.com he is a Canadian Actor/Songwriter/Singer as well as a very good friend.  Check out his site. Pamala Stanley's site is up and running as well www.pamalastanley.com
and Steve McCuin www.stevemccuin.com  of course all websites are what I call a "work In Progress".  I have several more websites in production and I am in the process of completing a seperate site for Song Harbor Web Design, in the meantime I have all the active sites listed at www.songharbor.com . Speaking of Steve McCuin, congratualtions to him and Michelle as they were married just recently, as well as Wannette McQuitty Turner - Kuddos to you!

Music is always part of my life by default, my song "Be There" which I co-wrote with Lynsae Harkins on my last CD was put on hold by the Sydney Children's Choir with Special guest by Olvia Newton-John. I was both surprised and excited to receive this news, now to wait and see if it comes to fruition. Song Harbor Song Services has a bunch of things happening but I hate to go into them in fear of jinxing!  lol  Christmas is upon us so the music industry all but comes to a stop until mid-January. I'd like to say that things are looking up concerning my returning anytime soon to performing, unfortunately there has been no improvment to my ability to play my guitar for any longer than 10-15 minutes - but I do appreciate all the emails and inquiries.

Point On Point Radio is chugging along at a steady and strong pace, it's one of those things that co-host Lauren Veach and myself just blindly do. We do know we are reaching quite a few people and have garnered the attention of Senators and Mainstream media alike, good things are in the works there as well.

So that's enough for now, have a Happy Thanksgiving and don't eat too much!

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes, it is always appreciated!

Until Next Month!
Nick
